This tour will include a visit to the Cliffs of Moher, Bridget’s Well, and a variety of sites in the Burren area of North Clare. “ The Burren” Karst land in North Clare is a National Heritage area. The only other place where this kind of geology and topography can be found is in Germany. The landscape was formed from the movement of melting ice at the end of the ice age and the scraping and slipping of the soil over the bedrock into the sea due to moving ice sheets. This are is also a rich archeological area in relation to Irish history back to the Stone Age.
