South Clare Tour -
10 am depart Hotel
This tour will bring in places like Doonbeg, Moyasta, Vandeleure walled garden Kilrush, Lisdeen, Rahiniska, Kilbaha, Bridges of Ross, Carrigaholt and Kilkee.
Tour will stop for lunch in Kilrush.
South Clare has spectacular views and is equally interesting as is North of the County. Many of the places which will be visited will have significance to the Talty visitors and their ancestry.
6pm Return to hotel for dinner (Participants arrange their own dinner)
7.30 “The Immigrant Experience” -
9.30pm pm Ceili with “Kilfenora Ceili Band” at the hotel function room. Open to the public. (See ticket sales page top)
Village of Doonbeg -
Vandeleure walled gardens -
The little ark in Kilbaha has survived since the 1860’s and was used to say mass during the difficult famine years and religious prohibition. Anthony Talty from Kilbaha sent home money to build this church after going to the USA despite the challenges they had to face.
